Lisa Jackson, President/CEO ljackson@slitopeka.org

Lisa Jackson earned her Masters degree in Rehabilitation from Emporia State University. Lisa also has a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and Education from Emporia State University. In 2001, she earned her Rehabilitation Administration Certification and in 2002 she received the Outstanding Graduate Award. Lisa has been in the field of Developmental Disabilities for over 27 years. Lisa worked for SLI while completing her Masters degree, she then accepted the position of Division Manager at Arrowhead West. Lisa returned to Sheltered Living in 2004 to serve as President and CEO. She has been a CARF surveyor for over 17 years.

Traci Vincent, Chief Operating Officer tvincent@slitopeka.org

Traci Vincent earned her Masters in Psychology with an emphasis in math and science from Pittsburg State University. Traci also has Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Traci was awarded the President's Award in 2008. Traci has been in the field of Developmental Disabilities for since 1993 and has worked in direct care, training, quality assurance, management and administration. She has been with SLI since 1996. Traci is active with ACC, PTO and is an AWANA leader.

Kathy Brayton, Chief Financial Officer kbrayton@slitopeka.org

Kathy Brayton earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Washburn University. Prior to coming to SLI in 1995, Kathy was employed by Mize Houser and Company. Kathy is a past president and board member of Junior Achievement and is presently active on several committees.

Doug Vincent, PHR, Director of Human Resources dvincent@slitopeka.org

Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University and a MBA degree. Doug has been in the field of Developmental Disabilities for nearly 20 years, working in the capacities of direct care, training, human resources, quality assurance, finance, management and administration. Doug has received awards for safety, political advocacy, community education of Alzheimer's, fiscal management and retention among others. Doug's last position before returning to SLI in 2006 was the Executive Director for Mosaic. Doug is active in Upward Bound and AWANA, is a Cub Scout Leader, coaches wrestling for Topeka Blue Thunder, trains Kansas citizens in personal safety and is currently the board chairman for ACC.

Tim Gorton, Director of Quality Improvement tgorton@slitopeka.org

Tim Gorton earned his Bachelor's degree from Washburn University, he has taught Applied Intervention in Developmental Disabilities additionally at Washburn University. Tim is a member of MENSA and served in the military with the 101st Screaming Eagles and received several awards. Tim is a State of Kansas Licensed Mental Health Technician and has completed the Kansas Institute of Positive Behavior Support Program. He was a recipient of the Pusitz Award as an employee of the Topeka State Hospital. Tim has been with SLI since 1999.

Tandy Kimbrough, Director of Admissions and Habilitation tkimbrough@slitopeka.org

In 1989, Tandy Kimbrough began her career in Minot, North Dakota. She has an Associates Degree in Developmental Disabilities from Minot State University. Kimbrough has extensive experience in the area of Positive Behavioral Supports and Behavioral Intervention Techniques. She was employed 9 years as a day care administrator in an organization that provided services for the dually-diagnosed (mental retardation / mental illness). When Tandy returned to Topeka she was employed at the Family Service and Guidance Center where she helped developed the crisis intervention program and facilitated psychosocial groups in middle schools. She was the Director of the Attendant/Respite Care Program. She has also continued her education studying Public Administration at Washburn University. At SLI, she assists persons served and their families through the admission process and provides the leadership for both the Adult life Skills Day Service program and the Independent Living Program.

Jo Ann Long, Vice President of Development  jlong@slitopeka.org

Jo Ann Long began her career as a fundraising professional in 1995 when she joined the American Lung Association as director of development. In this position, she led fund development efforts throughout Kansas to enhance educational initiatives to improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by lung disease.

In 2006, Jo Ann accepted the position of development director for American Red Cross Kansas Capital Area Chapter and was responsible for raising funds and developing relationships with donors, the corporate community and foundations.  Her expertise was further enhanced by grant writing and coordinating bequests in 16 counties. Seven years later, she was promoted to community chapter executive. During her tenure at the Red Cross, she was deployed to assist at disaster sites in Galveston, Texas; Des Moines, Iowa; and the East Coast following Hurricane Sandy. Jo Ann was also among those responding immediately after tornadoes hit the Kansas towns of Reading and Harveyville.

Before her involvement in non-profit development, Jo Ann held positions with Topeka Public Schools, Laird Noller Ford and Payless ShoeSource.  A native of South Dakota, she attended the National School of Business in Rapid City. Jo Ann’s service to the community has included a seat on the SLI board of directors and three years as chairwoman of the Festival of Trees, the primary fundraiser for the agency. She is a member of the Stormont-Vail Community Advisory Council, Downtown Topeka Rotary and Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, for which she serves as an Ambassador.
