Job Training Program is provided for clients that commit to a 24-module curriculum that emphasizes work ethics, interview skills and appropriate behavior. This program pays minimum wage with a job coach for individuals that want to find community employment.
Independent Living Program serves 32 men and women who have learned daily living skills such as grocery shopping, cooking and money management with the assistance of our independent living case workers.
Community Living Program began in 1972 with the opening of our first home, which provided a home for twelve men and women from Topeka and surrounding areas. Today, we serve over 99 men and women ranging from 18 – 84 living in 21 homes owned by SLI.
Community Integration Program (day services) focuses on life-enhancing activities, active learning and community involvement. The program keeps individuals engaged in activities, volunteering in the community, learning daily living skills and teaching responsibility.
