Steve has been at SLI since 2008 and says he loves what he does, who he does it for, and it is a privilege to support the staff and persons we serve at SLI. Steve’s career began when he enlisted in the South Dakota Army National Guard in 1988, moved to Active Duty in 1990 for four years, and ended his term of service in the Kansas Army National Guard in 1996 with three military occupational specialties.
He then studied Electronics Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Architecture and found a love of all things Information Technology BG (Before Google). Steve has a wide array of experience and leadership in various fields over many years, including residential and commercial building trades, and commercial cleaning. He has also been a computer technician, managed computer stores, and is quite proud of having had the opportunity to have built the bridge over the large Koi pond on Washburn University while employed there as a maintenance carpenter.
Steve looks forward to the next decade at SLI as current and new technologies aid in fulfilling our mission to the best of our ability.
