Due to the generosity and kindness of an anonymous donor, SLI is the recipient of a restricted fund called Pathway for Hope, that will be managed by the SLI Foundation. The fund provides support to people with intellectual disabilities with priority given to clients receiving services from SLI or individuals not receiving any type of services from any other IDD Community Service Provider. You will find a link to the application at the bottom of this page.
Funds are to be utilized to assist with unmet or unfunded needs of the individual. Potential uses include, but are not limited to dietary supplements, adult briefs, assistive technology, GED or post-secondary education, dental and vision services, eyeglasses, clothing, furniture, accessibility remodels, certain therapies such as occupational, physical, and positive behavioral interventions, assistance with home ownership and transportation.
If you know of a person with IDD that has a need not covered or can’t be fully covered by other resources, this is an opportunity for them to receive financial support. The SLI Foundation Board of Directors will manage the fund and will make selection decisions in January, April, July and October. You may submit applications at any time but decisions will only be made during these months.
